BIBLE STUDY ON THE BOOK OF ACTS will begin on
Thursday, February 2 from 6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.
The only book you need is your Bible! The Bible Study will be every
Thursday. If you have any questions please see Pastor Williams.
HILLCREST SINGERS are in
need of singers! The Hillcrest
Singers, formed many years ago, are a group of people that visit nursing homes
on Thursday mornings at 10:30 a.m. Their
visit with the nursing home members is all about singing God’s praises.
The nursing home members truly appreciate their presence.
As of now the Hillcrest Singers have only five active members, and they
need more to continue this wonderful ministry.
If you are interested in joining the Hillcrest Singers on Thursday
mornings at 10:30 a.m. please see June Riel or Irene Wilson.
YOUTH GROUP meets every 2nd and 4th Sunday from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm. The youth group is open to all youth in grades 6th-12th. Our next youth meeting is this evening at the home of Carol Hetrick. Please plan to join us. If you have any questions please see Pastor Williams.
CHILDREN'S AND JUNIOR CHURCH is during 11:00 Worship. Children 4 years through 1st grade, and 2nd through 5th grade, are invited to attend a young people oriented church program following Children’s time. Both groups meet EVERY Sunday. Children's Church this summer will be following lessons studying the heroes of the Bible. Please consider volunteering to work with our children and this ministry. Contact Charlotte Fields at 898-2673.
CHILDREN/JUNIOR CHURCH VOLUNTEERS....Does your child (between the ages 4-11) participate in Children/Junior Church? Do you have a love of working with children? We need leaders for this very important ministry. It’s really easy – the materials are ready for you. Just accompany the children to Room 207 and go from there. It only takes about an hour a month. If you would like to participate in this exciting and heart filling ministry please contact the church.
WE’RE LOOKING FOR MORE ACOLYTES Any child (4th grade and up) that would like to be an acolyte for Sunday morning services, please contact Carol Hetrick – 898-4764.
MUSICIANS: Interested in using your talent or skill to glorify the Lord? Contact Susan Morgan or Pastor Justin to discover how God can use your gifts at Hillcrest.
DID YOU KNOW that we collect Campbell’s and other can labels, as well as used postage stamps? UPC labels from Campbell’s soup and other items (complete list appears on Missions bulletin board) are collected for the Fredericksburg Christian Schools. There is a marked container on the table in the hallway of the church for these. Used postage stamps are collected in a marked box in the hallway of the church. They are forwarded to the District by Jeanette Chandler and are sold to stamp dealers. The proceeds are used by UMCOR to provide milk to needy children of the world. Stamps should be trimmed leaving at least ½ inch around the stamp. Approximately 1,200 stamps are collected twice a year and sent to the District in September and April.
