Announcements!

SALVATION ARMY - MAY MISSION OPPORTUNITY   Hillcrest UMC refers families and individuals in need to our local Salvation Army. During the month of May we ask that you consider making a contribution to them. This is a time of great economic trials for some and their resources will no doubt be in higher demand. Please make your checks payable to Hillcrest UMC and note "Salvation Army" in the note field.

CHILDREN/JUNIOR CHURCH....Does your child (between the ages 4-11) participate in Children/Junior Church?  Do you have a love of working with children?  We need leaders for this very important ministry.  It’s really easy – the materials are ready for you.  Just accompany  the children to Room 207 and go from there.  It only takes about an hour a month.  If you would like to participate in this exciting and heart filling ministry please contact the church.

DID YOU KNOW that we collect Campbell’s and other can labels, as well as used postage stamps?  UPC labels from Campbell’s soup and other items (complete list appears on Missions bulletin board) are collected for the Fredericksburg Christian Schools.  There is a marked container on the table in the hallway of the church for these.  Used postage stamps are collected in a marked box in the hallway of the church.  They are forwarded to the District by Jeanette Chandler and are sold to stamp dealers.  The proceeds are used by UMCOR to provide milk to needy children of the world.  Stamps should be trimmed leaving at least ½ inch around the stamp.  Approximately 1,200 stamps are collected twice a year and sent to the District in September and April.

MUSICIANS: Interested in using your talent or skill to glorify the Lord? Contact Susan Morgan or Pastor John to discover how God can use you at Hillcrest.

CHILDREN ARE WELCOME AT HILLCREST!  A Nursery is provided in the room opposite the fellowship hall for children up to 4 years old at our Worship Services. Children are God’s gift to us.   Feel free to stay with your child in the nursery and watch the service on closed circuit television.

CHILDREN'S AND JUNIOR CHURCH.....During 11:00 Worship, children 4 years through 1st grade, and 2nd through 5th grade, are invited to attend a young people oriented church program following Children’s time.  Both groups meet EVERY Sunday.

Stewardship, Presence & Gifts

When we join the church we promise to support it with our prayers, our presence, our gifts, and our service.
